Has a light, has a spirit, has a name.”

live – journey – be
Lindsey was born and raised in the flat lands of West Texas where she was a witness to many magnificent sunsets. After graduating college Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Humanities/English, she moved to the suburbs of Austin, Texas, where she worked for a newspaper as a writer and photographer. God works in mysterious ways in terms of leading us to and from “home”. Lindsey soon found herself living in East Texas, where she found the man she was to marry, Josh. They fell head over in heels in love and married in 2011.
The newlyweds, both filled with a wanderlust spirit, quit their jobs, sold their cars and most of their belongings, and moved over 7,000 miles away to the beautiful country of New Zealand. From the time she was a little girl, Lindsey has been an avid fan of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy - to live in the land of Middle Earth was a dream for her. A dream that turned to reality.
As with many grand adventures, they transition. After the beautiful experience living abroad, Lindsey and her husband packed up and moved to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with adventure still on their hearts. Lindsey worked as a legal assistant during the week and was conquering “14’ers” on the weekends. Dog sledding while the snow fell upon her is a moment she will never forget. In October of 2014, a beautiful daughter was born to Lindsey and Josh. All was well in their world until a month later when Lindsey was hit full force with an illness called postpartum depression. After suffering for a traumatic four months, with the help of her husband, family, friends, doctors, medicine, and, ultimately God, she finally found healing. During that period, Josh, Lindsey and their daughter moved back to East Texas where they both saw a need for local support for mothers dealing with maternal mental illnesses. With the help of her husband, together they founded a non-profit, postpartum depression support group called Wings4Moms. Lindsey wanted to bring hope to other mothers and to let them know that they were not alone and that they would also find healing as she did.
Lindsey is a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She’s a dreamer. An encourager. One to inspire. Brave, despite her fear. An explorer. A child of God. Lindsey is a published author and photographer. She has always been one to have a pen and paper in hand, and journals filled with her words cover every nook and cranny of their home. She hopes that her stories, experiences, thoughts, and words will bring inspiration to others, and to stir a wanderlust in their souls. That it will awaken them to know that they are not alone. To awaken them to chase their dreams. To step outside of their comfort zone. To be real. And to see that Beauty really can rise from the ashes.
